to win for the first time on the pga tour.y an moore, an outstanding amat r player, former u.s. amateur champion. kevin stadler, the son of long-time pga tour player and champions tour player craig stadler, masters champion. winner here in 1980 was his father and now son kevin trying to duplicate his father's accomplishment. what are the things that go if you -- through your mind when you're trying to win for the first time on the pga tour? ian: you don't really know what it is you have to do. you haven't done it before. do you just stick to doing what you've done before ow -- or do you think do i do anything different? you're definitely nervous. some guys are aggressive, others get more conservative. bill: what do you remember about your first victory? >> ian: i lost a lot of playoffs early in the first hole. i think it was because i was too aggressive. i tried to make birdie. i won a few after that. i wasn't a prolific winner but i probably won a half a dozen in playoffs and lost a half a dozen. >> you even lost one to me. bill: he's trying hard to eliminate that from his memory bank,

johnson. thanks for joining us this sunday. new staffing plan leaving some prince george's county firehouses empty. one vacant firehouse located in capital heights. just across prince george's county line dave statter is there with the impact of the new plan. dave. >> reporter: bruce, this firehouse behind me is full of fire trucks, two engines and ambulance. they have missed three ambulance calls and an engine company called because there are no firefighters on duty. they will pull out permanently as of today and there are no volunteers available. this is not the only police impacted. the firehouse on riggs road no longer has fire engines and only has a medic unit which will respond in that area. they beefed up a neighbouring firehouse. that's about a mile away. but back in the capitol heights area they have called for more volunteers. they only have 16 volunteers and the chief of the department and mayor here says those volunteer can't handle all the calls. they want more people to volunteer an -- and they are trying to get the county to change their mind. this is what citizens

sunday afternoon the skies in maryland can get crowded. it is a day where pilots mainly use the visual flight rule of see and avoid. rules that david teaches in flight school. >> you can see out the sides and back. not many airplanes you can do that. >> reporter: the ntsb is investigating what caused the tragedy above the hudson river making some question whether the see and avoid rule is safe enough. >> it is enough. but there is always that one crazy circumstance where two planes are in each other's blind spots and they won't see it coming until they hit. it is never 100%. >> it is exactly what you do out on the road, you see and avoid other cars. >> but are there more blind spots when we are talking about aircraft? >> many aircraft you can't see behind you. >> reporter: pilots use radar that detects other aircraft nearby. >> you have this, the outside and the radios. >> reporter: they say the chance of a midair collision in the district would be unlikely because of air space restrictions of a 16-mile radius around reagan national. outside the area the restrictions are reduced. >> it
